What information do we collect?

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products, or otherwise contact us.

The personal information we collect may include: email addresses, usernames, and preferences you express through product battles and scans.

We also collect certain information automatically when you use our services, including device information, usage data, and interaction data such as your product battles and scan history.

How do we process your information?

We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our services, communicate with you, and for security and fraud prevention. We process your personal information only when we have a valid legal reason to do so.

Your declared preference data — the choices you make in product battles — is used to build your personal taste profile and to generate aggregated, anonymized insights. Individual preference data is never sold or shared with third parties in identifiable form.

When and with whom do we share your information?

We do not sell your personal information. We may share aggregated, anonymized preference data with food industry partners for research and insights. This data cannot be used to identify you individually.

We may share your information with service providers who assist us in operating our platform, subject to confidentiality agreements.

How do we keep your information safe?

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

What are your privacy rights?

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data. To delete your account, follow the steps on the account deletion page. For other requests, contact us at hello@godough.co.

How do you delete your account?

In the Dough app, open Settings, then Delete Account under Danger Zone, and type DELETE. Privacy Settings opens the same screen. If you no longer have the app, email hello@godough.co from the account's address; we reply within a few business days.

Deletion removes your login and personal details. Photos and receipt images are removed within a few minutes. Ratings and comparisons stay in a form no longer linked to your identity, along with the five-year birth-year band, saved products with notes removed, and taste weights. We keep your consent log, payout records, a deletion record with no personal information, and any payout phone number in the fraud-prevention registry. A payout identity is deleted unless a sent or paid payout still has to name it. You can sign up again with the same email as a new account; the old account is not restored.

If your login runs a brand workspace or approved a mission, deletion goes through hello@godough.co. Nothing is deleted until that is resolved.
